Sunday July 2

Today it is time to travel to Manila. I should get rid of the redness from my eyes. The medication and ice cubes really worked and the eyes looked almost normal already.

Jeofre's eyes were still so red. We decided that he will fly to Manila only on tuesday. So he will have two more days time to heal.

In the evening we travelled to Iloilo airport. I was little bit worried if the officials are going to start inspecting my eyes more closely. We had 'Sore eyes, no pass' mention still left in our original tickets. You can imagine the relief when we were sitting in the plane and it was taking off.

My sister-in-law had reserved us rooms in Gilarmi Apartments. We chose Gilarmi Apartments not because of Armi Kuusela but because of the fully equipt kitchen. We liked to cook food by ourselves (I am allergic to many food products).

We had asked my sister-in-law to reserve a apartment big enough for five persons. The reserved apartment was in the tenth floor and consisted of two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, two big clothes closets and three bathrooms. Price for two and half day staying was 7500 pesos (less than 200 euros).

We arrived Manila so late in the evening that all the stores were already closed. My wife went then to get some snack from Jollibee located near the Gilarmi.

The television in the living room was not working properly. Someone had 'borrowed' the remote and one cable (between cable tv box and tv). It was already so late so I deceded to complain about that in the morning.
